SEIU members and working people across the country are calling on the Trump administration to act now to increase the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) and protect all healthcare workers.

On April 9, members of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW joined the #GetMePPE National Day of Action to demand immediate action from the Trump administration to save lives. Below you’ll find news clips from the Day of Action in Washington state and Montana.

A handful of employees with Kalispell Regional Healthcare gathered briefly on Thursday afternoon outside of Montana Children’s to join in a nationwide protest asking the federal government to supply an adequate amount of personal protective equipment to hospitals during the coronavirus outbreak.

Social distancing is having an impact on the spread of COVID-19, Spokane County Health Officer Dr. Bob Lutz said, based on the data he is looking at, but he warned that letting up on the brakes too quickly could lead to an increase in cases in the community.
