Join our COVID-19 telephone town halls to learn how we’re winning for our patients, ourselves and our families
Uniting together in our union to stand up for our safety and for great patient care is important in this crisis. Last week, members from across our union joined a telephone town hall where we heard about the protections we’ve won in our chapters and learned how we can exercise our rights at work. Over 1,300 of us joined the call!
On the call we heard from Katy Brehe of Harborview Medical Center, Christina Bradbury of Kalispell Regional Health Center, and Gloria Acosta of Highline Medical Center about protections they’ve won with their coworkers during the COVID-19 crisis; Grace Land, 1199NW Vice President from Good Samaritan Hospital about political action during the crisis; Laurel Webb, an attorney with our union, on benefits available to healthcare workers at this time; and from President Diane Sosne and Executive Vice President Jane Hopkins.
We also got a chance to ask some of our questions. Those of us who had questions but did not get to ask them live on the call will hear from an organizer in the coming days about our issues and concerns.
If you missed the call, you can listen here:
